21 DAYS OF FASTING & PRAYER

January 15th - Feburary 4th, 2024

WHAT IS FASTING?

Fasting is the biblical practice of choosing to eliminate distractions for a spiritual purpose; it breaks the power of the flesh in our life and hits the reset button on our soul to renew us from the inside out.

Fasting also enables us to celebrate the goodness and mercy of God and prepares our hearts for all the good things God desires to bring into our lives.

WHY DO WE FAST?

The goal of fasting is to draw nearer to God. Fasting draws us closer to God by starving our flesh and feeding our spirit. We draw near to the heart of God by spending time with Him through prayer and reading His word. Seek God in prayer and follow what the Holy Spirt leads you to do.

TYPES OF FASTS

There are different types of fasting, and we recommend prayerfully considering which is best for you at this time.

Liquid Fast - Consuming only liquids for a specific period of time

Partial Fast - Abstaining from specific kinds of food (ex. Daniel Fast)

TV/Social Media - Abstaining from certain technologies for a specific period of time

Intermittent Fast - Abstaining from food for a specific amount of time throughout the day
